Onward is a mobile app designed to support and strengthen long-distance relationships through intentional connection, emotional presence, and shared experiences. Built on the belief that distance should not weaken love, the app provides couples with thoughtful tools that help them stay engaged in each other’s lives, no matter how far apart they are.

The Distance Between People
Long-distance relationships often rely on fragmented tools—texts, calendars, and social apps—that weren’t designed with emotional connection in mind. Over time, distance can create feelings of disconnection, miscommunication, and uncertainty about the future.
I wanted to design something that didn’t just help couples communicate, but helped them feel supported, aligned, and emotionally close, even when physically apart.
A Gentle Space for Growth
The core idea behind Onward is simple: relationships don’t pause because of distance—they evolve.
Instead of focusing on constant messaging, I designed Onward around intentional moments—checking in, planning visits, reflecting on memories, and building a shared vision of the future.
Connection, Designed
Onward brings together emotional support and functional tools into one cohesive experience. The interface uses soft visuals, warm tones, and intentional pacing to create a calm and reassuring environment.
Every feature was designed to reduce pressure and increase presence—helping couples feel connected not through constant interaction, but through meaningful moments.
